Introducing Me!
My name is Makenzie Stepp and I am the owner and pastry chef behind Sweet Treat! I have had such a passion for baking for as long as I could remember, and after spending over 6 years working in local bakeries and coffee shops I decided to follow my dream and start my own business.
Being a home baker has been such an amazing journey and I have loved every second of growing this business in the hopes of one day opening a physical shop. When I graduated from college last year, I felt so much pressure to grow up quickly and find a big girl job that would use my degree and follow the traditional route that everyone around me took. But I knew I wasn’t going to be fulfilled; I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and follow my dream and here we are.
There is so much joy that comes from having a little sweet treat, a reward that might be the push you needed to get through your day or revive you in a tough time and I hope to bring some of that joy into what I do everyday and to who I share it with.
